Casa Massimo

Where Vin Santo Was Once Produced

Located near the onsite chapel and Villa Donati, the oldest stately villa on the property, Casa Massimo is on the border between the main estate and the surrounding olive groves.

Once upon a time, this building was actually used to produce Vin Santo (a sweet Tuscan wine, typical to the area). More specifically, when the grapes were ripe they would be laid down in large sieves to dry, before being pressed into Vin Santo.

Since then it has been renovated into a cosy, stylish apartment.

An outdoor, stone staircase leads to the entrance, which opens onto two large connected rooms, dining room and living room with open fireplace, which in turn lead into the cosy, well-equipped kitchen.

There is 1 double bedroom, 1 twin room and 2 en-suite bathrooms (one with a bathtub and one with a shower).

The garden is private and surrounded by olive trees. It includes an outdoor terraced area for dining under a pergola and some outdoor space for playing, painting or quite simply relaxing in a lounge chair with a good glass of local wine.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the evening with a romantic view of the Tuscan countryside.
